However, should a problem arise, your mattress and foundation (box spring) are covered by a manufacturer’s warranty and subject to the following conditions.

Manufacturers’ warranties cover all components and defects in materials and manufacturing. Should a failure occur in any component, including the springs, basic construction or cover, Van Winkle Mattress Co. will coordinate the repair or replacement of your mattress and/or foundation (box spring) with the manufacturer. The decision to repair or replace your mattress and foundation (box spring) rests solely with Van Winkle Mattress Co. and the manufacturer. You are required to cover the cost of shipping to and from Van Winkle Mattress Co.

While we strive to ensure your satisfaction, a few conditions beyond our control and for which you are solely responsible, may invalidate the manufacturer’s warranty. These include:

• The density and mass of your mattress is significant and requires that its weight be properly supported and distributed across the foundation/box spring for which it was designed. As such, the warranty may be invalidated should the mattress be used either without a foundation (box spring) or with a foundation (box spring) other than the one that has been designed by the manufacturer for that particular mattress.
• The mattress has been folded or bent.
• The foundation (box spring) has not been properly supported.
• There are signs of improper care such as stains, burns or compacting due to insufficient turning and rotating (when applicable). Please see mattress care maintenance information.
• Other conditions and exemptions as detailed on the manufacturer’s warranty.

Please appreciate that the manufacturer and Van Winkle Mattress Co. cannot be responsible for claims associated with normal wear, fading or stains to the cover, issues of firmness, user allergies or sensitivity to materials. Such items are not covered under warranty.

The natural components of your mattress will respond to interactions with the human body. In normal use, gentle body impressions and subtle shifts in support characteristics are perfectly normal. They will in no way diminish the performance of your sleep system and are not considered defects.
