Avondale (Mocha Frost/Java)

|
Transitional styling on the Avondale Daybed appeals to both the masculine and feminine consumer. It can be used in a casual to sophisticated setting. The wood and metal combination is seating by day and extra sleeping room at night with the addition of a hidden trundle unit. Sturdy hardwood posts topped with perfectly rounded finials are finished in a rich coffee bean color which is exemplified by the name Java. The hardwood is then distressed with a fine, light antiquing. The metal portions of the bed are finished in Mocha Frost – a silvery matte base coat hand brushed with a light cocoa finish creating the appearance of fine lines - a true compliment to the dark posts. This daybed will bring uncomplicated beauty to any room.

Baldwin I (Honey Oak Finish)

The Baldwin daybed is beautiful poised in front of a sunlit window. The rich, tall, poplar wood, curved back arches upwards—matched by carefully carved sleigh arms. The arms are detailed with elegantly curved legs. These solid wood arms appear supple—as if a master carver etched out their provocative lines. Seven 2” bowed slats grace each arm; seventeen 2” slats complete the back. This daybed was designed with extra space in mind—a trundle can fit neatly under its bottom frame. The daybed has a marvelous combination of styles—borrowing from the lines of the Arts and Crafts period and the curves of the Victorian era. Two finishes are available for the Baldwin daybed. A deep Mahogany finish covers the poplar hardwood. This extraordinary finish is sophisticated, smooth to the touch and very rich looking. The more casual Honey Oak finish is lighter, brighter—a welcome addition to any room. Both finishes involve a multi-step finish with lacquer as the final step—the reason for their lovely sheen.

The Brentwood Daybed is a great compliment to the Brentwood Bed. It has the same domineering design that creates a real presence in any room. It has impressive posts 3”W, feet 4”H and finials with a 5”W circumference. We’ve used the same popular color from the bed, Antique Bronze, on its Daybed. The classy castings and simple lines that work so well on the bed, translate nicely to the daybed. It works well with traditional accessories in metal, wood and wood & iron. If you need a daybed that will draw attention in a room – the Brentwood Daybed is the one.

Starting with clean lines of a worthy ship docked in her waters, the Bristol Daybed is broad across the beam to seat passengers with the utmost comfort. An arched camelback backboard curves upward to 40” at the very top. Flat arms are sensibly designed for those who want to put a drink or book on the surface. The arms are edged with a slight rounded curve on each corner. Perfectly round spindles are precisely 4 1/2” apart—providing a comforting symmetry to the entire bed.
The Natural Oak finish is practical and handsome. This popular finish goes just about anywhere; the light hue is bright with promise and rich with detail. This is a finish...and a bed...designed for the long haul.

The Calais Daybed looks like it was spun from a spider’s web. Lacy scrollwork twirls around the back and sides. The gently arched camelback and sloped arms welcome visitors to sit down and wile away the hours. The substantial posts measure 1 around; the cross rails are 1” and the spindles and scrolls measure 5/8” each. Although white dominates, brass finished accents join each branch of the connection points and dot every tip of the twisted spindles. Topping it off—flowered ceramic finials give it the perfect finishing touch.
All connections on both back and sides are welded for added strength. This cost-effective daybed is extremely easy to assemble—and will last for the growing years and beyond.
The Antique White finish is bright white, highly glossy and extremely durable. This smooth finish has no texture but gleams with style. The baked-on powder coat is scratch-resistant and completely maintenance-free.

The Grandview daybed is a substantial piece of furniture. The four posts anchor the corners that support the two side arms and back grill. The design motif is slightly nautical in nature and is reminiscent of ropes lashing the metal spindles to the frame. This unobtrusive design will blend well in any décor and will accept a variety of bedding types. The neutral Antique Cocoa color is a low gloss Rust Brown powder coat base highlighted with silver and covered with a clear lacquer finish.

The Laguna daybed is almost like a piece of architecture. It has a concave arch along the top of the back and the sides. Also, its front rail dips inward in a concave manner as well. The entire daybed is made of wicker strips woven in an open pattern and wraps the rails and posts which adds to its uniqueness. The color is called Toffee and the finials are an heirloom brass with lots of black highlights rubbed into the crevices. This is really a lovely piece of furniture which just so happens to have the versatility of a daybed.

The Monique Bed has a unique combination of soft, curvaceous lines, unusual scrolled finials and a dramatic sweeping design. A high point is the textured rope of metal that drapes on both the headboard and footboard and connect to the spindles, peaking at the top. They are held permanently in place by a hand casted scroll.
Other details of this Victorian inspired design include a circle that ripples outward with castings linking the circumference. Flared cast feet and prominent finials. Easily accommodates today’s thicker mattresses.
The open toe version uses the same headboard with double end posts on each side of the foot and open space where you can sit to watch tv, finish dressing or just relax.
Finished in bronze/silver giving it a champagne look. Silver is applied to the castings, feet and twisted rope, then covered with a black patina for added depth.
